I work in commercial grading and paving here at DRT Grading & Paving, where our projects split between new construction and asphalt upkeep. On this site I write about what goes into preparing a site before asphalt goes down, and what it takes to keep existing pavement in service for HOAs, school districts, and other property owners. Most of my material comes straight from the job, including new-construction grading and paving for shopping centers and restaurant sites like Chick-fil-A and Raising Cane's locations.
